The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to status sassa reach-out to the large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The company point developed for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and raise usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
